As a local, family-owned builder, McArthur Homes strives to be involved in community service efforts here in Utah.
Ron McArthur currently serves on the board of directors for Salt Lake Valley Habitat for Humanity, where he participates regularly in service projects.
Ron recently participated in the groundbreaking ceremony for the “Field of Dreams”, an eco-community housing development that will consist of 20 energy efficient homes.
Each energy efficient home is designed to cost around $150,000 and will have a daily utility bill cost of just $1.50!
The housing development will be built on a 2-acre deserted baseball field that was once the historic American Little League baseball field. The baseball field was used as a temporary military base during World War II, known as Camp Kearns.
The “Field of Dreams” housing development is estimated to be finished by 2020.
